A Dream
A man arrived in Bayou Creek, Louisiana. It was a small, sleepy town where everyone knew everyone. There were two churches, one for the black folk and one for the white folk. Some said that a few of those colored people still practiced their vodun ways, but that was just a whisper. The man arrived into this town.
He was tall with white-blonde hair that sometimes glinted red in the sunlight. He had aquiline features, like master sculptures from far away Rome. He looked like them even, solemn but strong. The moment he stepped off the train, the rumors began.
